The Ultra Paws Wound Boot is great to help improve healing and helps protect against infection. They work indoors for traction and covers the wound area when outdoors. The Wound Boot is sold individually in three sizes, small, medium and large.
Sizing Information
To measure the width of your dog's foot, place the foot on a piece of paper and press down on the top of the foot, mimicking how the foot spreads when the dog's walking.
Mark the left and the right side of the widest point of the foot on the paper and measure the distance between the marks. Compare this to the boot sizes.
The width of the foot should be smaller than the boot size. For example, if the foot width is 1 1/2 inches, order an XSmall at 1 3/4 inches.
Small 1 1/4" to 1 3/4"
Medium 2 1/4" to 2 3/4"
Large 3 1/4" to 4"
If your dog is wearing a cast or bandage here are the circumferences that will fit into the different sizes.
Small 4 1/2" to 6 1/2" max
Medium 6 1/2" to 9 1/2" max
Large 7 1/2" to 11"
*The boot should fit snug enough so there isn't extra room in the boot that causes them to trip. The long straps at the top of the boot allow them to wrap around the paw or leg and cinch them up to get them fitted.
